The Cardinals have assigned Peralta to Triple-A Memphis. The Cardinals 40-man roster now stands at 40.

In Peralta the Cardinals pick up a left-handed option for the bullpen. The Cardinals left-handed options took a hit when Packy Naughton got injured a few weeks back.

Peralta is an interesting pick up if he can improve on a few things. His velocity is down a tiny bit (93.5 mile per hour). Back in 2024, Peralta's fastball was 95 miles per hour.

Peralta is the younger brother of New York Mets starting pitcher Freddy Peralta.
