St. Louis Blues acquire Mason McTavish

The St. Louis Blues have traded their 15th overall pick and 29th overall pick in tonight's NHL draft to the Anaheim Ducks for center Mason McTavish. McTavish, 23, played 75 games with 17 goals, 24 assists, 41 points, and a -15 in 2025-2026.

McTavish had his best season in 2024-2025. That season, McTavish played 76 games with 22 goals, 30 assists, and 52 points. The goals, assists, and points were all career highs for McTavish.

In 2022-2023, McTavish played a career high (80) games.

Overall, McTavish has played 5 NHL seasons. McTavish has played 304 games with 77 goals, 104 assists, 181 points, and a -54. In the playoffs, McTavish has played 10 games with 1 goal, 5 assists, 6 points, and a plus 1.

McTavish is reunited with former Ducks teammate defenseman Cam Fowler and former Ducks head coach Greg Cronin (now a Blues assistant coach).

McTavish has the potential to be a good addition for the Blues roster. McTavish had success under Cronin when he was the Ducks head coach.
